Trusses get set
This step is where the home reaches new heights, literally.
Walls go up!
The framing process has begun, with walls being set in place across the slab. This milestone turns blueprints into something you can walk through — the start of a home truly taking form.
Marking Base Plates
The base plates are now laid out, marking the first step in framing! These treated boards anchor directly to the concrete slab and outline where the walls will rise.
Enlarged Rear Covered Patio
Last minute we decided to enlarge the rear patio a foot in each direction....
Mound System Installation has Begun
The mound septic system is going in! Each stage of the process is inspected to guarantee safety and performance. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the perforated pipes before they’re buried and out of sight.
Good Vibes
Coins have been placed face up at the entry to bring our future new homeowners every vibe possible for good luck & prosperity. I couldn't decide between a penny or a quarter, so we laid one of each!
Concrete Garage Slab Poured
Concrete Slab Poured
With the slab complete, we’re ready to start framing and see the structure take shape above ground.
Luxury Radiant In Floor Heat - Included!
Radiant in-floor heat has been installed for the home, bringing steady, comfortable warmth underfoot. It’s efficient, effective, and one of the best ways to take the edge off our Minnesota winters. The red pipes are the hot water lines laid over pink foam insulation so the heat travels to you.
Plumbing Undergrounds - Upgraded Recirculation Pump
Plumbers now have a beautiful sandbox to trench in the water lines. UPGRADED FEATURE: A recirculation pump is included. This feature can not be added later and we had to include it. A recirculation pump keeps hot water consistently flowing (circulating) through the hot water lines. This means when you shower or wash your hands, hot water is there and ready to keep you warm!
Backfill Completed
Now it looks like we've made no progress. All the hard work has been buried.
Backfill
We’ve backfilled around the foundation with hauled-in sand.
Insulation of Foundation
This helps regulate temperature, reduce energy loss, and protect against moisture — all critical factors for long-term comfort and efficiency. By insulating from the ground up, we’re building a home that stays warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and energy-smart year-round.
Foundation Walls
The foundation walls are complete. The are the backbone of the home, supporting everything that will be built above.
Hidden Value
For the rear porch, we went above and beyond by installing footings, even though they weren’t required by code. These reinforced footings provide extra stability and strength, ensuring the porch remains solid and secure for decades to come.
Pouring Footings
The lot has been excavated and the footings are being poured! Footings are the essential first step in construction, providing the strength and stability needed to support the entire home. By placing them below the frost line, we ensure the foundation is protected from shifting during Minnesota’s freeze-thaw cycles.
Lot Staking
Each stake in the ground represents the outline of the future home, giving us the first real sense of how the house will sit on the property. These stakes guide the excavator, like a real life game of connect the dots.
Temporary Driveway
The culvert is in, and the driveway installation process has begun.
A Fresh Canvas
The future home site is now visible! The white PVC pipes tell us where the property line starts and ends, what a beautiful lot!
Timbeeeerrrrr...
Trees are being cleared to make room for the new house.
Protecting What Matters Beneath the Surface
This stage is all about preparation — protecting the grounds where the septic mound system will be installed. Careful planning now ensures that the system functions properly and efficiently for years to come.
A Fresh Beginning in Wyoming, MN
Every great home starts with a vision — and here in Wyoming, MN, that vision begins with this untouched piece of land. Before the first tree is cleared or the first stake is placed, we love to pause and take in the beauty of what nature gives us to work with.
